The book is a comprehensive and practical guide to the new Arbitration Rules of the Finland Chamber of Commerce. It is written as a detailed commentary on the provisions governing the commencement of arbitration, appointment of arbitrators, proceedings before the arbitral tribunal, rendering of awards and determination of the costs of the arbitration.

In addition, the book analyzes questions and potential problems related to multi-party proceedings, interim measures of protection and confidentiality in arbitration, and discusses the special features of expedited arbitration proceedings as well as the drafting of arbitration clauses.

The author, Attorney at law Mika Savola is Chair of the Board of the Arbitration Institute of the Finland Chamber of Commerce. He led the Task Force responsible for the drafting of the new Rules.
